Need new tires for your Honda? Tire replacement is a big decision. Scott Honda makes it easier for our customers to decide when it's the right time to buy new tires because we give an objective and easy to read print-out of your tire tread depth. Quick Tread Drive Over System measures tire tread edge-to edge in a matter of seconds.

We not only perform tire inspections faster and easier, but we're able to give you the most accurate assessment of your tires. That's because our digital analysis tool is much more precise than just simple human observation or single line measurement tools. Quick Tread Drive Over System collects 280,000 data points across a two-inch segment of the tire.

The scan results in the most accurate tread depth calculation for each tire groove. The scan can measure tread, regardless of some bad data points created by rocks, stones or even tire sipes. (Sipes are the narrowest slits found on tread patterns that help provide better traction, even wear and a smoother ride).

What is the big deal? Why is this technology so important? Because when you have improper tire tread depth then your car's ability to grip the road is greatly reduced in adverse conditions. Your tires' grooves move water, debris and snow away so tires make solid contact with the road and keep you safe.

Proper tire tread gives you control in wet conditions and allows you to come to a complete stop quicker especially in emergencies.

We show customers a precise snapshot of their tire wear. When you have a clear understanding of the condition of your tires' tread, then you are able to confidently make the decision to replace your tires at the right time.

What can you do to make your tires last longer? Preventative maintenance can go a long way. Proper tire inflation is important so have your tire pressure checked regularly. Also, frequent tire inspections can catch a problem early. Tire wear can occur unevenly so having issues corrected will help you to get the most life from your tires.

Tire rotation is critical since wear on front tires can often be greater in front-wheel and all-wheel drive vehicles. Rotating tires can have a big influence on tire lifespan. Ignoring tire rotation maintenance can prematurely wear out your tires.

Having a wheel alignment done as soon as abnormal wear is seen can stop the problem and cost much less than a pair of tires in the long run. Wheel alignment is particularly important when you hit a pothole and notice a difference in steering or a vibration afterward.
